F IS FOR FIGHT!

This is the Barnegat Lighthouse in Long Beach NJ. If you enlarge it you'll see the seagulls fighting over the dead crab laying on the rocks. I love the way they just blend in to the rocks in the original post. More ABC WEDNESDAY click on the sidebar.

Someday soon I'm going to drive to see some Lighthouses in New Jersey.
This one looks really nice.

I've seen plenty of seagull fights in my day but never in a picture. This is an awesome picture.

What a terrific shot! Beautiful shots and the one of the seagulls is indeed awesome! Like James, I've seen them fight down at the harbor near our house, but never caught a shot!

Enjoy1

hi Shirl...just read your comment in my blog...thanks for spending hours? looking at my photographs, and glad you stopped by for a visit. I hope you drop by daily...

My Dad went to the Naval Academy, and my parents were married in Annapolis right after he graduated (1961), so Annapolis has always had a special place in my heart, and your photos obviously show the beauty of that wonderful part of the country...

Take care,

Scotty

Give peace a chance, birds. Most uncommon shot - thanks!

Noisy little things, aren't they? But they look quite social. And yes, they do blend rather well, don't they?

You capture well the dynamic of the beach. I can almost hear those birds!

Super!

They're not actually fighting over the crab. This is an argument about whether they're supposed to migrate south for the winter.

Sea gulls like to fight, I often see them gawking and flapping their wings.

Came to your site via scenic sunday and like your photos.
