D is for DOOR

May Day is celebrated each May 1st in Annapolis. All area merchants, and homes in the historic area, hang May baskets and area garden clubs judge them and award ribbons. I love to take the day off work and enjoy the baskets and lunch with good friends. These are just a few of hundreds to see.

Beautiful door flowers. How fun to have a may Day contest. Great choice for the letter D.

I love doors. Have you gone to Williamsburg, VA and photographed those? They are especially nice in the fall and winter. Thanks for the photos.

What a lovely custom! We don't do that here, but perhaps we should!
