C is for Capital ABC Wednesday

This is the our beautiful state capital in Annapolis, MD. It is the oldest continually used capital building in the U.S. Many are unaware that this was actually the U.S. capital from 1783~1784. Annapolis also has more original 18th century structures that any city in the U.S. Who knew!

This is a majestic photo.
I'm from Canada but it's always nice to learn about my neighbours to the south and their history!

It looks like a really nice building. And the second flag, is that the flag of Maryland?

Shirl said...

Oh yes the Maryland flag is also in the foreground.

That's a beautiful picture and I'm really impressed with your knowledge of the history! You must be quite a history fanatic.

Hi Shirl, Great post. It taught me a lot about our history and that of Annapolis.
