SKY WATCH FRIDAY

Blue Angels flying over the Severn River in Annapolis. They perform every May during graduation week at the Naval Academy. It's a particularly bad traffic day for locals. All the parents are in town for graduation and several area bridges close for the afternoon. Nothing worse than half the roads and twice the cars! Just another ordinary day in Annapolis, MD. This is taken from the bridge in our downtown area. Many of our favorite restaurants our along the waterfront. On Wednesday evenings during the summer you can watch the sailboat races from your dinner table. Life is good!

SCENIC SUNDAY

Barnegat Light, the second tallest lighthouse in the United States, was commissioned January 1, 1859. The tower light was 165 feet above sea level.

D is for DOOR

May Day is celebrated each May 1st in Annapolis. All area merchants, and homes in the historic area, hang May baskets and area garden clubs judge them and award ribbons. I love to take the day off work and enjoy the baskets and lunch with good friends. These are just a few of hundreds to see.

Orioles Park Camden Yards, Baltimore MD

A beautiful night at the ball park. Orioles lost to the Red Sox but it was still fun. The stand were full...with Red Sox fans! Originally from Massachusetts, it was a win win for us.

Sunset Beach NC a little bit of heaven! This gem is about 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach. The island is attched to the mainland by a one lane draw bridge. Nothing but peace and quiet here but plenty of golfing and shopping close by.

C is for Capital ABC Wednesday

This is the our beautiful state capital in Annapolis, MD. It is the oldest continually used capital building in the U.S. Many are unaware that this was actually the U.S. capital from 1783~1784. Annapolis also has more original 18th century structures that any city in the U.S. Who knew!
